These are so great. I love the way these snapshots are “snapshots” of PROCESS– the writing process, which is often expected to be rendered invisible by the time we reach PRODUCT, is revealed in all its fascinating complexity, here.
(Although, this need to render process invisible might be more true, in general, for fiction than for poetry, and for conventional work than for experimental work.)
In any event, if you write this scene, will you send it to me?
“I didn't feel out of place with all the other writers as the way Stephen presents the material made it easy for me to be part of the group. I found I could write and with Jades gentle coaxing, I can even paint! I highly recommend this retreat to anyone who wants to take time out to discover their potential.” - Liz, 2011 Wellness and Writing Immersion participant
