Sea turtles are amazing. From the moment they hatch, they don’t have a minute to spare. They exit the egg and immediately make their way toward the crashing surf. No part of this looks easy. Birds swoop at them from the sky on their trek across the beach. The waves flip them around and turn them on their backs. All sorts of predators await their arrival underwater. And, of course, there are the fishermen, the loss of beaches, the pollution, the acidification of the sea…
