The Great Journal Page Snapshot Experiment

by Stephen Lloyd Webber

Di Mezzo Il Mare publishes typewritten poems, short prose, and Italian translations. And. . .

Most writers carry a journal, and I am very interested in displaying handwritten work (above and beyond finished typewritten pieces). If you have access to a digital camera or scanner (or smartphone), you can submit to dimezzoilmare.com no matter where you are — just take a snapshot of a page from your journal and email it to us.

Email these to submissions AT dimezzoilmare.com and those selected will be published online at dimezzoilmare.com. Include your name. If at all possible, reformat the image to no greater than 480px wide. If you want them published anonymously, specify that in the body of the email.

Very nice idea! Does foreign language count? (In my case German, Russian and Japanese)

Of course it counts. In your case, it counts triple. Thanks – keep sending stuff!

Oh, and one more thing: try and keep the image width at 480 px – thanks

I sent you per email my journal capture, with width at 480 px. I hope it arrived already. Best regards, Merzmensch

P.S. And thank you for the links – the idea of handwriting textes is really awesome, and especially in the epoche of binaries it became its new freshness and originality.

Great idea!

I like the fact that technology makes it much simpler to have this sort of exchange. . .

My hope is that writers from anywhere in the world can just use something as simple as a smartphone to take a snapshot of their journal and email it to dimezzoilmare.com
